Our Story
WapiTech was founded in 2023 by a team of engineers and entrepreneurs who had spent years building messaging products at scale. We saw a massive gap: WhatsApp had over 500 million users in India, but 99% of businesses were still using it manually — unable to scale, automate, or measure their communications.
The WhatsApp Business API existed, but it was inaccessible — complex to set up, expensive through traditional BSPs, and completely opaque in terms of what you were getting. Small and medium Indian businesses were locked out of the most powerful communication channel in the country.
